You can schedule preventive maintenance based on date, meter readings, PM/task triggers, and service/asset triggers.

Do you upgrade GLOBAL, and if so, how often?

GLOBAL is cloud-based and is frequently automatically upgraded in the background. No need to download or install upgrades.
