Adding PM Schedule Templates
Users with PM Manager or PM Admin user roles can create and edit custom schedule templates and use them to simplify the scheduling process for PMs and PM tasks. Schedule templates are available for date- and meter-based schedules. The following steps show you how to create custom schedule templates in GLOBAL. For information about applying schedule templates to PMs and PM tasks see Adding and Scheduling PMs.
Adding a Date-Based Schedule Template
You can use date-based schedule templates to simplify scheduling PM tasks that are performed on a common schedule, such as daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. The following steps show you how to create your own custom date-based schedule templates.
- On any page, select Preventive Maintenance from the left navigation menu, then select Schedule Templates. The Schedule Templates page opens.
- Select New Schedule Template
. A page with a new schedule template form opens. The date-based schedule type is selected by default.
-
In the Repeats field, select how often you want PM work orders based on the schedule to be automatically generated (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.) The Schedule tab refreshes and displays repeat scheduling options based on the chosen work order generation frequency .
Note: The Name field fills automatically with a summary of the schedule frequency when a Repeats frequency is selected. The Name can be edited.
-
Complete the information for the Repeats scheduling, Starts On date, and Ends date. The Preview Dates for the first Work Order information updates.
Note: The Preview Dates shown on the schedule template are examples that are based on the date information included on the template. PM schedules created using schedule templates display Preview Dates based on date information included on the PM.
- Edit the Ends information as needed.
-
(Optional) To adjust the work order Create, Issue, or Due offset days, do one of the following:

Adding a Meter-Based Schedule Template
You can use meter-based schedule templates to simplify scheduling PM tasks that are performed based on asset meter readings, such as odometers, that have been added to the Asset record in GLOBAL. The following steps show you how to create your own custom meter-based schedule templates.
- On any page, select Preventive Maintenance from the left navigation menu, then select Schedule Templates. The Schedule Templates page opens.
